John Kett

Chief Executive Officer and President

John W. Kett is CEO and President of IAA, Inc., a leading multi-channel vehicle marketplace (NYSE: IAA).

John became CEO in May 2014, after serving in a variety of executive roles at IAA for nearly 20 years. In June 2019, he led IAA through the process of becoming an independent public company. In 2021, IAA generated $1.83 billion in revenue and sold more than 2.5 million vehicles through its platform. IAA is a global leader in technology innovation, analytics and operational execution.

Formerly with IAA, John served as Senior Vice President of Planning and Business Development, CFO and President. He sits on the national Board of Directors for SkillsUSA, the Northern Illinois University Board of Executive Advisors, and the Ravinia Board of Trustees, as well as its DEI subcommittee. John is also an active member of the Economic Club of Chicago, Alliance of Chief Executives, and in 2020 became a Trustee of the Committee for Economic Development (CED).

Prior to IAA, John held senior financial roles at Central Steel and Wire Co., and Safelite Glass Corporation, Newark Electronics and Deloitte LLP. He received a master’s degree from Northwestern University and a B.S. from Northern Illinois University.

Susan Healy

Chief Financial Officer

Susan joined IAA in September 2021 as Chief Financial Officer. Susan, a Wall Street veteran, brings nearly 30 years of finance, strategy, financial planning and analysis, and treasury expertise as well as experience driving growth and operational improvement at a number of highly respected, multinational companies.

Prior to IAA, Susan served as the Senior Vice President, finance for $20 billion market capitalization beauty retailer Ulta Beauty, leading corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, financial planning and analysis, treasury and procurement.

Prior to Ulta Beauty, Susan was a strategic advisor to early-stage, venture-backed companies in the consumer, technology, healthcare and renewable energy sectors. She also held the role of CFO at apparel retailer Lands’ End, where she led the finance, accounting, legal, procurement and IT teams. Susan began her career at global investment firm Goldman Sachs, where she executed over $25 billion of mergers and acquisitions transactions and $6 billion in financings, including six IPOs. Susan earned her B.S. from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Tim O'Day

President, U.S. Operations

Tim joined IAA in August 2015 as Senior Vice President of Finance and became COO in January 2017. Tim brings more than 30 years of finance, operations and general management expertise to the company. Tim has played a pivotal role in IAA becoming an independent public company as well as the industry leader in operational execution and catastrophe management services. Prior to IAA, Tim was Chief Operating Officer for nine years with MedSpeed, a national healthcare transportation and logistics provider. 

Tim’s experience also includes starting and running a B2B internet technology company. Prior to that, Tim served as president of a regional special events company, as CFO of an equipment rental chain, and as director of finance for a national auto glass company. He began his career at Abbott Laboratories in their financial management training program. Tim earned his bachelor’s degree in Business from Indiana University. 

Sidney Peryar

Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer

Sidney joined IAA in 2001 as Corporate Counsel and Secretary and has played a significant role in the company’s growth including it recently becoming an independent public company. Sidney leads general legal affairs, including SEC compliance and filings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and litigation.

Sidney and his team will work in concert with state and federal governments to facilitate legislation and regulation that ensures responsible business conduct and drives healthy expansion of the industry. Sidney plays a significant role in all facets of the organization as IAA looks to transform the industry into a technology-driven marketplace.

Sidney holds a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management, a Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University. 

Maju Abraham

Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Maju has served as the Chief Information Officer since June 2019. He joined IAA in 2005 as an Application Development Manager and has since held numerous Business Technology roles focused on transformation of the company’s development teams. Under his leadership, IAA was able to expedite a massive digital transformation project not only to maintain business continuity through the global pandemic but also to further expand IAA’s presence in the global vehicle marketplace.

Maju manages delivery for all IAA product development, including enterprise applications, mobile products and enterprise architecture. Maju also collaborates with a number of software partners and supports weekly online vehicle auctions across more than 200 locations worldwide. 

Prior to IAA, Maju worked for Accubyte Inc. and Diamond InfoTech. He has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Mahatma Gandhi University. 

Terry Daniels

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS

Terry joined the IAA leadership team in 2018 by way of its Canadian subsidiary, Impact Auto Actions, Inc. He oversees all operations outside of the U.S., including Impact and IAA in the United Kingdom. Terry works in close collaboration with our business development team to explore avenues to expand our current footprint and business globally. Previously, Terry served as Managing Director at Impact, where he led global market development and salvage management services in Canada. Terry served as the COO at Impact from 2000 to 2002, and again from 2004 until he took over the Managing Director role in 2006. Prior to joining Impact, Terry was the IT Manager at ADESA Canada (1998-2000) and later was ADESA’s CIO (2002-2003).  

Terry has significant experience in a wide variety of IT- and operations-related fields, including mining, retail and the Canadian public sector. A graduate of Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, Terry has also served as a board member with the AASC.  

Jeanene O'Brien

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, GLOBAL MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

Jeanene joined IAA in 2008 as Vice President of Global Marketing. She is responsible for all marketing efforts, including branding, public relations, advertising, market research, sales enablement and event programs. She analyzes and reports business and economic trends that impact the salvage industry, aligning IAA’s expertise and leadership. 

Previously, Jeanene served as Vice President of Provider Marketing. A 20-year veteran in the property and casualty claims industry, Jeanene has a history of executing innovative brand strategy and comprehensive client growth and retention campaigns. Jeanene led marketing efforts at CCC Information Services Inc., and consulted with claims vendors, including independent appraisal firms, collision repair facilities and integrated technology providers. Jeanene started her marketing career as an associate in a Chicago advertising firm.

Jeanene is a member of the Women’s Industry Network and holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the College of Wooster (Ohio). Jeanene has a master’s degree in Market Research and Advertising from Loyola University Graduate School of Business in Chicago. 

Bill Davidson

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER

Bill joined IAA in June 2017 as Vice President, Human Resources. In his current role, he provides oversight to all aspects of human resources, talent management, employee relations policies, practices, operations, training and development. As an action-oriented leader with over 20 years of human capital experience across multiple industries, Bill leads the execution of strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. Under his leadership, Bill’s team manages succession planning, talent, organizational and performance management, employee engagement, training, career development, compensation and benefits.  

Bill has a Master of Business Administration from Krannert School of Management at Purdue University, a Master Certificate in Human Resources Management from Villanova University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration at Strayer University. Bill is certificated in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, ROI Methodology, Myers Briggs Type Indicator, and Situational Leadership. Bill is veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.  

Justin Mahlik

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, CHIEF TRANSFORMATION OFFICER

Justin joined the IAA leadership team in January 2019. He oversees the transformation of IAA’s business and drives its customer experience, data analytics and buyer development. Justin’s previous role was Senior Vice President, Global Buyer Development and Data. Prior to IAA, Justin was the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at DRIVIN, an automotive-focused data and predicative analytics platform. DRIVIN was acquired by former IAA parent company KAR Auction Services in 2017.  

Before DRIVIN, Justin was responsible for sourcing, negotiating and executing new acquisitions as well as monitoring existing portfolio companies at BP Capital Management. He also was an investment banker in the business services group at Robert W. Baird. There, he was directly involved in approximately $1.5 billion of equity offering and merger and acquisition activity and helped to build out Baird’s European business services platform.   

Justin holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics and a minor in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame, as well as a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. 

Steve Muscarello

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, SALES AND CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER, U.S.

Steve joined IAA in January of 2017 as Vice President of Innovation and Product Development and has built the organization’s innovation and ideation practice. 

Spearheading in excess of twenty IAA “ID8” sessions with clients resulting in new product development including IAA 360 View™, Buyer Digital Transformation and Buyer Recommendation Engine. Through these in-depth sessions, Steve has a deep knowledge of our client markets including insurance, fleet, finance, dismantler/recycler, exporter, dealer, etc.  Steve’s unique vantage point has allowed him to keenly understand our clients’, as well as our industry’s, processes, pain points and opportunities. Prior to his role at IAA, Steve was the Founder and Chief Marketing Officer at MedSpeed. Steve grew this business to become the leading national provider of specialized transportation and logistics services to the healthcare industry. 

Steve holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Indiana University.
